I Love You Too

Passion, Love, Possession, Consumption, Insanity
What an unusual and all consuming film. The story is fairly simple told in flashback during a camping trip with friends. Eric an average to above average young man, meets Reza. They fall madly and completely in love, a love that ends up consuming Reza and nearly Eric.

There are a number of twists and turns along the way. The framing, editing, lighting, and sound all make the viewer feel more and more closed in as the story progesses. The opening scene fortells of the insanity that will follow later. It's a remarkable story, those first tender happy moments of a relationship, that then spirals into the tornado of insanity. And yet on the other end emerges this wonderful narrator, Eric.

This is probably a difficult film to find. It's also a difficult film to watch - however rest assured many times the viewer will think something really horrific is about to happen, and it does not. There's a bittersweetness to this film. There's a helplessness, but incredible love...
